The leaf ninjas track to drive off the fake Akatsuki organization members. While his friends are praised by their families, Naruto discovers Sakura arguing with her parents.
At the park, Tobi uses Limited Tsukuyomi (限定月読 Gentei Tsukuyomi?) to transport them into an alternate reality based on inner thoughts. The two discover their friends acting exact opposites of their usual selves and Sasuke being around at the village. While Sakura learns that she is orphaned with her father as the Fourth Hokage, Naruto being called Menma (メンマ?) reunites with his parents alive. The next day as the team successfully retrieve the Red Moon Scroll, the couple dissuades the refusal for Naruto. After a mysterious masked ninja kidnaps the repentant Sakura, Naruto takes the rendered scroll and Tsunade orders the members to aid them. Naruto battles the man, only to reveal his counterpart as Menma whom Tobi created to possess. After Naruto purges them to cancel the genjutsu, he and Sakura return to their timeline.
Sakura apologizes to her parents and Naruto does to Iruka. This reminds him that even though he is an orphan, he still has a family.
